It’s been one year since Nicholas Morgenstern opened his namesake ice-cream parlor, and he’s elevated the city’s dessert game by giving New Yorkers things like avocado-ice-cream toast, five types of vanilla, three strawberry flavors, pine-nut pie, awesome chef collaborations, and this Grub-exclusive kitchen-sink sundae. Morgenstern’s has been a runaway success, so to celebrate the first anniversary and give back to loyal customers, there will be free scoops all day on Saturday. Grub suggests bringing elbow pads — and ordering the Salted Pretzel Caramel.
