Anheuser-Busch Stopped Making Beer to Bottle Water for Flood Victims

A class act.
A class act.

In any other circumstance, the producer of Bud Light, Michelob Ultra, and O’Doul’s literally putting water into cans would be a delicious irony. But Anheuser-Busch gets a slow clap for this class act: Wednesday night, it quit bottling beer at its Georgia brewery so it could crank out emergency drinking water. Anheuser-Busch ended up producing 2,000 24-packs of water, which is en route now, via the Red Cross, to the flood victims in Texas and Oklahoma. “It’s something we’re uniquely positioned to do,” brewery manager Rob Haas tells NBC. People can hate on Anheuser-Busch and Budweiser all they want, but their size has advantages, and this move is pretty great.
