Japan’s Saddest New Burger Just Has Lettuce and Sauce Between Two Buns

It’s quite possible that Japanese fast-food chain Lotteria dedicates an entire R&D; team to stunt burgers, but this intentionally underwhelming creation brings new meaning to the term “nothingburger.” It has two fillings — iceberg lettuce and a dollop of tartar sauce — and Kotaku reports that people are actually buying it.

Usually, these foods never turn out as advertised, but a sandwich of lettuce and tartar sauce can’t not look like the picture … right?
