The AvroKO team has opened a new restaurant, Genuine Superette — the follow-up to Gotham West Market’s Genuine Roadside. It’s a casual café, open from 8 a.m. to midnight, and it’ll serve laid-back, California-ish food like tuna tacos, breakfast burritos, and fried-chicken sandwiches.
What makes Genuine Superette stand out is its chef collaborations: New free agent Paul Liebrandt created a fish-and-chips dish; Sam Mason designed the dessert menu (complete with ice-cream sandwiches made in the panini press); Eben Freeman developed the beverage program; and Michelin-starred chef Brad Farmerie has contributed to the soups and salads.
