Uber, perhaps finally feeling the sting of all the recent negative attention, will attempt to get back in the city’s good graces today by delivering lunch from the mini-chain that everyone in Manhattan seems to love unconditionally. Sweetgreen, which officially opened a new store on Kenmare Street yesterday and will soon be sprouting up all over, is loading up its kale Caesar salads between now and 1:30 p.m. into the vehicles of Uber’s Manhattan fleet. Users of the app need only select the “UberLUNCH” option, and the lunch, which costs $12 (including a date and walnut cake), will be delivered in ten minutes. You can order up to ten salads at a clip, and all proceeds go to the No Kid Hungry, the nonprofit that seeks to end childhood hunger in America.
