The East Village’s First Rice-Burger Shop Opens on Monday

As an added bonus, it certainly seems as though this thing is gluten-free.

We’ve been pretty excited about Yonekichi, the rice-burger spot opening in the tiny space that was last home to Otafuku, for the last month straight, and now our friends at Bedford + Bowery have the first look at the menu. The shop soft-opens on Monday and includes this beauty: a chicken tsukune version with scallions, runny egg, and blistered shishito peppers. Other burgers include barbecue-eel and battered-kakiage varieties, and the side-order fried-potato wedges include choices of plum, yuzu, or wasabi-flavored salt. Yes, wasabi salt. Check out the full menu here. [Bedford + Bowery, Related]
