The famed brand Fabergé, named for the legendary Russian jeweler and craftsman, is suing a big, luxe-looking catering hall on Emmons Avenue in Sheepshead Bay that happens to sport the same name. One specializes in fancy eggs bedazzled with diamonds and other precious gems, while the other specializes in mudslides and veal steaks. The company is asking that the Brooklyn establishment change its name, menu, and branding, which seems like a good deal coming from the people whose most famous creations are occasionally stolen by Bond villains and otherwise routinely sell for more than $10 million at auction.
