The folks over at Birch Coffee are planning a location in the former Cheese on 62nd space at 134½ East 62nd Street and Lexington Avenue, which is something of a cappuccino-starved intersection. Slated to open by July 15, the new location is being constructed within the storefront’s tiny 250 square feet, which means that there’s going to be limited seating, something the growing chainlet hopes to make up for by being “super coffee-centric.” In addition to a full lineup of espresso drinks, the newest Birch will sell a few cold-brew iced coffee varieties, pastries like Balthazar croissants, and grab-and-go Liquiteria juices.
