Off the Menu reports that the events and catering arm of Danny Meyer’s restaurant group will this summer open an 80-seat café within the Pavilion at the September 11 Memorial Museum. The Times reports it’ll serve a “subdued, seasonal, mostly vegetarian menu” written by chef John Karangis. This means things like grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup, brownies, and “appetizers designed to be shared,” like fresh ricotta with peas, and salmon confit. “We knew that people would need a place to rest, to reflect and hopefully to be restored,” Meyer tells the paper.
