As mentioned last month, award-winning Boston restaurateurs Tim and Nancy Cushman are making their New York debut this Thursday in Gramercy’s Park South Hotel. The Roof at Park South, which looks gorgeous, consists mostly of a pared-down menu of small plates, crudos, and a couple of pizzas. There’s gold leaf sprinkled on the Yukon “Gold” potato and fontina croquettes, which traditionally telegraphs all sorts of overkill, but things like fried sweetbreads with Pecorino sound pretty great. Bar man Ted Kilpatrick’s cocktails menu includes a white negroni made with grappa and oat whiskey, as well as a whole section of stellar-sounding martinis. [Eater NY, Related]
