As promised, Ontario-based chain Big Smoke Burger is planning to open next month at 70 Seventh Avenue, with poutine made with Canadian curds and “hand-cut” fries, in addition to a bunch of hamburgers. Franchise owner Anthony Fauci says to expect a 36-seat backyard atrium and “hard-to-find Canadian and local craft beers.” Previously, Fauci told Grub Street that the chain plans to introduce around 50 locations throughout the U.S., including a few more in Manhattan.
