The stores will still have that smell, though.

Although there’s not much proof that the so-called “yoga-mat chemical” actually harms your health, Subway still promises that all traces of the ingredient will be removed from its bread by next week. The chain caved under pressure (or, in PR speak, accelerated “bread improvement efforts“) after Food Babe blogger Vari Hari’s petition demanding the removal of the chemical, actually called azodicarbonamide, got 60,000 signatures. For Hari’s next petition, it would be great if she could get Subway to ditch whatever ingredient gives all their stores the telltale “Subway smell.” [AP]
