Nigella Lawson was turned away at the gate on Sunday at Heathrow and ended up missing her flight to LAX, the Daily News reports, allegedly because of testimony she gave in a London courtroom in December, in which she admitted to past cocaine use. The celebrity chef and current Vogue cover girl wasn’t on trial — Lawson and ex-husband Charles Saatchi’s ex-personal assistants had been accused of fraud — but the drug-use testimony became the focal point of all media coverage. Scotland Yard issued a statement in January stating that Lawson will not be investigated in connection to her testimony, so it’s unclear why she was unable to board the plane. “She didn’t seem to say much, but she did not look happy,” a witness said.
