MOFAD’s First-Annual Benefit Dinner; Lunch at Empire Diner

Brushstroke is launching its first ever à la carte menu in its three-year history. New dishes include seared Australian red shrimp with ginger-vanilla aroma, beef jerky, and grilled octopus with bottarga and squid ink-black sesame sauce. [Grub Street]

Empire Diner in Chelsea is now open daily for lunch from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a midday menu that includes a Tuscan kale Caesar and a kid-friendly “after school” section of mini-pizzas, hummus with crackers and baby carrots, and yogurt parfait. Additionally, guests can enjoy Empire Diner favorites such as buttermilk pancakes and a classic patty melt. [Grub Street]
