After sleeping on it — yet again — General Mills has decided it’s best if we all agree to forget that whole Facebook-users-can’t-sue-us thing. The Times, which alerted readers last week to the sneaky little update indicating consumers would relinquish their right to sue the food company by doing mundane things like downloading coupons, got an email over the weekend, saying: “The recently updated legal terms are being removed from our websites, and we are announcing today that we have reverted back to our prior legal terms, which contain no mention of arbitration.” For the still-suspicious, the full mea culpa is elaborated in a company blog post.
