The World's 50 Best organization announced today that St. John's Fergus Henderson is this year's recipient of its Lifetime Achievement Award. The most surprising part of today's news: that Henderson hasn't already won the award.
The chef, of course, is synonymous with the nose-to-tail movement (his books, paragons of the form, are basically the go-to guides). On its official site, the 50 Best crew writes, "Henderson’s legacy hasn’t been confined to the style of cooking he has championed he has done more to raise the profile of British food overseas than any other chef in recent history."
