There’s a lot to admire at subterranean restaurant Exchange Alley on East 9th Street — the
low-key arty, vibe; the jambalaya balls with gravy — but it seems as though the place may be down for the count. The restaurant opened in the summer of 2012 as a showcase for Paul Gerard’s New Orleans by way of Bensonhurst style of cooking, which garnered many fans early on. Its OpenTable page is now down, and EV Grieve notes that the dining room “has not been open for the past week or so.” [EV Grieve]
