We were already fans of Joel Tompkins and Toby Cecchini’s cocktail-oriented reboot of the old neon-fronted Long Island Bar in Cobble Hill, which reopened last fall after a six-year closure. This video, in which former proprietor Emma Montero Sullivan describes the bar’s early days, makes us love the place even more. “Every holiday, every birthday, every going-away party was celebrated here,” she says.
