The restaurant formerly known as Calliope has closed and will reopen as Contrada this weekend. Eric Anderson’s restaurant will start off with dinner, then will presumably add brunch and lunch once things get rolling. Former Calliope chefs Ginevra Iverson and Eric Korsh, who makes his official debut as Floyd Cardoz’s replacement at North End Grill tomorrow, left the Second Avenue restaurant in January; it’s unclear what’s on the menu at Contrada (which is not to be confused with Contra or Pravda), but a message on the old restaurant’s website indicates all the details are coming soon.
