Oscars Cameo Gave Pizza Joint a 500 Percent Bump in Online Orders

Unsurprisingly, it turns out having your pizza chain make an unplanned appearance at the Oscars is very good for business. Big Mama’s and Papa’s Pizzeria, an L.A. based pizza chain, shot into the spotlight overnight when a delivery man named Edgar (who is actually an owner/operator of the Sunset Boulevard location, as well as a good paparazzi deflector) delivered some pies to celebrities during the ceremony. And today a company rep tells Grub that Big Mama’s and Papa’s saw a 500 percent bump in business compared to a usual Sunday evening, making it yet another big winner last night. [Earlier]
