Colicchio Joins TedxManhattan; Daniel Hosts Citymeals Dinner

• TedxManhattan has announced the lineup for its “Changing the Way We Eat” event. On March 1, Tom Colicchio will join Megan Miller, Peggy Neu, David Binkle, and others. Lectures will include “Hunting for Food: Race, Class and Access in New York City” and “Local Food Distribution: All That’s Invisible to the Eaters.” You can live-stream the event — starting at 10:30 a.m. — here. • On March 9, Daniel Boulud invites guests to Daniel for his annual “Sunday Dinner at DANIEL” in support of Citymeals-on-Wheels. Boulud will be joined in the kitchen by chef Regis Marcon, president of the Bocuse d’Or France and 1995 winner of the same competition. The dinner — which will celebrate black truffles — begins at $1,4000 a seat, 100 percent of which goes to Citymeals. Call 212-687-1290 for tickets. [Grub Street]

• If you’re a whiskey fan, hurry over to Leave Rochelle Out of It to taste Chichibu, the first cask-strength Japanese whiskey. Only 2,000 bottles have ever been produced, and Rochelle has two of them tonight. It’ll sell glasses of the extremely rare spirit for $42, while supplies last. [Grub Street]
