Brunch at the Shakespeare; Oscar Viewing Party at the Chester

• On April 1, famed Oregonian winemaker Veronique Drouhin will host a four-course dinner and wine tasting at Auden Bistro & Bar inside the Ritz Carlton on Central Park South. The dinner is part of a series that celebrates the wine industry’s female pioneers. Tickets are $175 per person, and a percentage of the proceeds will be donated to the women’s shelter at St. Bart’s Church. Reservations can be made by calling 212-521-6125. [Grub Street]

• The owners of the East Village’s Lit Lounge are opening a new bar within the McKibbin Lofts in East Williamsburg. The bi-level space, which is slated to open in September, will boast 17-foot-tall ceilings, a small upstairs restaurant that will be open daily, and club with a separate entrance downstairs.
