After more than a year of basic rebuilding and painstaking restoration of several thousand pre-Hurricane Sandy finishes, River Café reopened for dinner on Saturday night for the first time since October 2012. Chef Brad Steelman, who is cooking in a brand-new kitchen, has launched new menu items; Gothamist reports that the waterfront restaurant is already pretty much booked solid through the next month.
