The New York Times reports that Will Guidara and Daniel Humm will extend the bar at the NoMad — literally, giving it a separate street entrance and all — in order to give award-winning drinks man Leo Robitschek a little more breathing room. (Customers, too.) Robitschek, whose cocktails are also served upstairs in the hotel’s intimate live-music venue told Grub Street last year that he’s not only fascinated by cocktails lore and mixing spirits, but also by the broader flavors that come along with making non-alcoholic drinks from scratch. “I ran the numbers last year from the previous year and the sales went up 400 percent,” he said. “Just in one year alone.” [NYT, Earlier]
