That’s right, the 15-year-old Patchogue, New York brewery is being acquired by Anheuser-Busch InBev, in a deal that’s been speculated to be worth $24 million. Mark Burford and Peter Cotter — who, Grub Street remembers from its oyster-shucking days, used to deliver kegs in-person to restaurant coolers on Long Island’s South Shore, coincidentally — say not to expect any major changes around the shop. “Same hours. Same beer. Same folks brewing and pouring it,” they write on the brewery’s blog. So while the guys plan to stay put in Patchogue and doing what they love, perhaps they could at least make one or two commercials with puppies? [Brewbound]
