Sirio Maccioni Named Beard Foundation Lifetime Achievement Award Honoree for 2014

Few restaurant industry figures are as instantly recognizable as Le Cirque proprietor Sirio Maccioni, who’s a city-appointed “Living Landmark” and has been the subject of a memoir and even a documentary. Le Cirque received the James Beard Foundation’s Outstanding Restaurant Award in 1995, and on May 5, Maccioni himself will be honored, as the recipient of the nonprofit’s Lifetime Achievement Award for 2014. The night’s festivities will include a post-awards dinner prepared by chefs from all three of Maccioni’s New York restaurants. [Related]
