An article in the Vancouver Sun suggested, in part, that Las Vegas bartenders are embracing cocktail craftsmanship with such renewed seriousness that even the venerable St. Marks Place bar PDT is angling for a spot on the strip. Not so, proprietor Jim Meehan tells Grub Street. “We’ve never considered it,” he says, adding that he did, however, write the drinks menu for the American Express Centurion Lounge at the Las Vegas McCarran Airport.
