Next week was supposed to mark the end of Keith McNally’s storied meatpacking district restaurant as we know it: Pastis, we’ve been told, is closing for fifteen months because of construction on its Ninth Avenue headquarters. The brasserie’s final day was originally scheduled for January 31, but now the Post reports it’ll happen later in the spring, and it really seems as though diners will get a few more months to get one (or two) last meals in. “The temporary closure of Pastis has been pushed back from the original January 31st date to April 1st,” a McNally spokesperson tells Grub Street. “We will remain open as long as possible, and then reopen 15 months following the closure for renovations.” [NYP, Earlier]
