In testimony given during the trial of her longtime personal assistants last fall, the celebrity chef admitted to using cocaine and smoking pot in the past. Authorities intimated that Lawson might be the subject of a separate investigation, but Scotland Yard has now decided against it, saying it could set a damaging precedent with “serious public interest concerns,” and that the fear of police investigation might cause others to lie in court in the future.
