King’s Cake at Epicerie Boulud; Chefs Rally Together for Las Vegas Fund-raiser

• In honor of the approaching Epiphany, Epicerie Boulud will offer Northern French style gallete de rois (king’s cake!) from now until the end of the month. The cakes are available to go, either whole (eight slices for $39) or by the slice ($6). [Grub Street]

• In preparation for the snowstorm, Boqueria will offer guests a complimentary order of churros rellenos or Nutella-stuffed churros at dinnertime. [Grub Street]

• On January 19, chefs will collaborate on the launch of the “Chefs to the Max” dinner series to benefit critically injured Las Vegas–based food journalist Max Jacobson. The first dinner will include a cocktail hour from 6 to 7 p.m., followed by a six-course dinner hosted by Rick Moonen at the Rx Boiler Room and cooked by Bruce Bromberg, Tom Colicchio, and Thomas Keller, among others. 100 percent of proceeds will go directly to Jacobson to help pay for his medical bills. Tickets are $1,000; call 702-632-9900 or e-mail info@rxboilerroom.com. [Grub Street]

• In partnership with the Peninsula Spa, Clement is launching a power-lunch package. The $78 deal includes a two-course lunch menu as well as a day membership to the hotel’s gym, including access to group classes and the glass-enclosed pool. [Grub Street]
