A local assemblyman brokered a deal between the owner of a McDonald’s in Flushing and a group of elderly Korean patrons who had been accused of loitering and taking up seats in the dining room for hours at a clip on a daily basis, sometimes while sharing a single cup of coffee or a lone order of Dollar Menu French fries. The seniors have pledged to avoid the restaurant between the hours of 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., the Times reports. “I really do appreciate that everybody is considering everybody’s feelings and everybody’s culture going forward,” says franchisee Jack Bert.
