• Last weekend, barista J. Park Brannen, a customer representative at New York’s Counter Culture training center, placed first in the Northeastern Regional Barista Competition in the Big Eastern Coffee Competition in Durham. He’ll now advance to the U.S. Barista Competition and Brewers Cup in Seattle this April. Brannen competed with a natural sun-dried coffee from Kayanza, Burundi, roasted by Counter Culture.
