There’s Still Hope for Washington Square’s Hot-Dog Vendors

After a private conservancy run by socialites ruled to banish Washington Square’s hot-dog vendors because they’re “unsightly,” the Parks Department realized that it hadn’t engaged in the most democratic decision process. Now, a spokesman says that the Parks Department might reverse its verdict after all. Hot-dog activists will gather on Sunday for a demonstration: Let’s hope they’re all wearing appropriate attire.
