The founder and chief executive of the Snarf's chain says he's "deeply sorry" for the way workers were let go in advance of the location's "reconcepting" — that is to say, via e-mail with tone-deaf bullet points, and giving just one day's notice, right before Christmas. "We recognize now we acted rashly," Jim Siedel said in a statement.
