Fatty Lab’s Debut; Charity Dinner at Café Boulud

• This Friday and Saturday evening, the Fatty Crew Hospitality Group will debut the Fatty Lab, an experimental cooking and event space in the former Brooklyn Fatty ‘Cue. The first event’s a pop-up with chef Chaz Brown, a former Top Chef contestant, who will serve up “Brooklyn Creole” fare both nights. Walk-ins are welcome. [Grub Street]

• On Friday, December 20 at 7 p.m. Gavin Kaysen and Hooni Kim of Danji will cook a six-course meal for charity featuring dishes from both chefs at Café Boulud. Proceeds from the dinner will benefit the Children’s Cancer Research Foundation. Tickets are $265 per person and include wine pairings; they can be purchased online. [Grub Street]

Wallsé will serve a four-course prix-fixe Christmas menu inspired by Vienna on December 24 from 5 to 11 p.m. and on December 25 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tickets for the meal, which will feature dishes like roasted Christmas goose with red cabbage, are $125 per person or $220 with wine pairings. • On Sunday, December 8, Joe Allen, owner of theater district staplesOrso, Bar Centrale, and Joe Allen Restaurant, will donate 50 percent of the entire day’s proceeds from all three restaurants to Save the Children’s Typhoon Haiyan Children’s Relief fund. [Grub Street]
