White-Truffle Weekend at Topping Rose House; Q&A With Alice Waters

• The PTA of PS 107 in Park Slope is hosting a Q&A; with Alice Waters alongside author Michael Moss. It will focus on topics such as starting a garden and getting children to eat healthily. The event, which will take place on November 21, begins at 5:15 p.m. with a reception and tasting, followed by the talk. Tickets are $65 per person and can be purchased online. Topping Rose House in Bridgehampton is hosting a full-on Truffle Weekend from November 16 to 17, where Tom Colicchio and Hearth’s Marco Canora and Paul Grieco will prepare a six-course meal in honor of truffle season. Each guest will also get to indulge in a truffle Sunday brunch, as well as have the opportunity to preorder a limited number of whole white truffles. Rooms start at $525 a night, and the dinner, which is only available to hotel guests, costs an additional $395 per person.
