Partners Tom Mylan, Brent Young, and Ben Turley sent a note announcing the imminent arrival of Meat Hook Sandwich, a beer-and-submarine-sandwich-based offshoot of the Meat Hook in Williamsburg, their butcher shop specializing in sustainable meats. Cold beer will be served with a menu of five regular items, including roast-beef, turkey, and Italian subs, along with a roast-pork variety and a grilled ham-and-cheese sandwich. (In his characteristically straightforward way, Mylan writes that daily specials will be “determined by whatever we have too much of at the butcher shop.”) Meat Hook Sandwich is scheduled to open in January, at 495 Lorimer Street, just next door to Gimme! Coffee. [Related]
