Former Float and Cipriani maestro Max Burgio’s swanky B & Co. opened just a few weeks ago, but a lawsuit filed in State Supreme Court last month by the landlord alleges he owes $350,000 in back rent, the Real Deal reports. The parties disagree on when the lease actually took hold, and meanwhile, Burgio has struck back, saying Friedland Properties left the premises an “absolute mess” following the departure of Pop Burger, the previous tenant. Sounds like the mess is far from over; just let us know when it’s safe again to break-dance in the second-floor lounge. [The Real Deal, Earlier]
