Earlier this week, representatives from Danny Meyer's Union Square Events appeared in front of CB2 Brooklyn's licensing committee to discuss plans for a forthcoming café that will operate out of the Theatre for a New Audience, at 262 Ashland Place. After the Shack Shack in Fulton Mall, this will be the restaurant group's second foray into the borough (the third will be another Shake Shack, set to debut on Old Fulton Street next year). Kale Caesar salads, wine by the glass, and roast-pork sandwiches will be available only on nights when performances are held, the Brooklyn Daily Eagle reports, and the concession will close up shop after intermission.
