Tickets are now available for Dale Talde’s “Taste 4 the Philippines,” which will benefit victims of Typhoon Haiyan. The event takes place on December 4 at the Green Building in Carroll Gardens, and restaurants represented include Roberta’s, Toro, Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, Pig and Khao, and of course the Brooklyn-based chef’s own Talde and Pork Slope. There will also be spirits by Brooklyn Brewery, the Wayland, and others, as well as a silent auction in the adjoining gallery. Tickets are $125 and all proceeds will be donated to World Vision, which is providing emergency assistance in the wake of the typhoon.

Meanwhile, over on the other coast this weekend, L.A.’s top chefs and bloggers are joining forces for an epic bake sale that will no doubt put all your elementary-school endeavors to shame. From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. this Saturday, November 23, Eat My Blog Charity Bakesale will sell sweet and savory baked goods like cream-cheese-pumpkin bars from the team at Animal and Son of a Gun and waffle corn dogs from Night + Market to benefit the Red Cross.
