We already knew it had a strawberry Pez nose and a better mouth feel than Salt, but Miraval Rosé, the movie stars’ fairy-tale-esque, made-in-Provence wine, has just picked up some serious credibility points by landing at the no. 84 spot on Wine Spectator’s list of “Top 100 Wines” of the year. Sure, it only got 90 points, but the fact that you can nab it at the bargain-basement price of $22.99 (at places like Union Square Wines) definitely worked in their favor. But rosé is child’s play, and this power couple is “thinking long term”: A cask of the couple’s forthcoming white (made from the rolle, or vermentino, grape) recently sold at auction for $14,000, and meanwhile, the Jolie-Pitt Cabernet-Syrah blend is aging away. Expect a sequel. [Wine Spectator via E! Online, Earlier, Earlier]
