Greatest Chef of Just the Past Year is not enough for Heston Blumenthal, who’s coincidentally having a particularly good week, media-exposure wise, and was just named U.K. Chef of the Decade at the Observer Food Monthly Awards. Blumenthal is so good that his own team made the passion-fruit-flavored chocolate trophies that were served to other winners, including Yottam Ottolenghi, who picked up an award for his excellent cookbook Jerusalem, and Simon Rogan, who won the Best Restaurant award for L’Enclume in Cartmel.
