Grub Street still isn't sure about waiting six hours for a Cronut-hole Concrete, but thanks to the people who did, yesterday's event  where Cronut-hole Concretes were sold for $4.50 each at the Madison Square Park Shake Shack raised "over $5,300" for charity, according to Shack reps. (Do the math and it seems likely Shake Shack sold more than the original 1,000-Concrete allotment.) As previously mentioned, the two charities benefitting are the New York City Patrolmen's Benevolent Association Widows and Children's Fund, which provides aid to families of NYPD officers who lose their lives in the line of duty, and the Madison Square Park Conservancy, which maintains the park itself.
