Belon Oysters at Louro Tonight; Franny’s Cookbook Signing and Taste Test

Starting September 25, Pork Slope will offer a Peel & Eat special that includes one pound of shrimp along with Andouille sausage, potatoes, corn, and Louisiana-style BBQ sauce. Inspired by a recent trip that Talde took to New Orleans, the special will be available on Wednesdays. [Grub Street]

In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, micro-chain Bareburger is serving up an all-natural pink milkshake made from organic milk and ice cream throughout October. $3 from the sale of each milkshake will be donated to the cause. [Grub Street]

Sarah Simmons now really needs to raise money to relocate her culinary salon, City Grit, because the building's being sold. Her new campaign is set up through City Grits website, essentially as a Kickstarter, just without the actual Kickstarter platform.
