Grub hears that owners Ben Daitz and Ratha Chaupoly are opening a fifth outpost of their beloved Cambodian sandwich shop. The business is rapidly expanding: This is Num Pang’s third new location this year (after Chelsea Market and Nomad). It’s slated to open mid-fall at 148 West 48th Street (between Sixth and Seventh), bringing peppercorn-catfish and hoisin-meatball sandwiches to the midtown masses. Is it only a matter of time before Num Pang opens in other cities?
