Our friends over at Bedford + Bowery plot some crucial data points corresponding to the more than 1,264 complaint calls to 311 this summer regarding nuisance ice-cream trucks and their confounded jingles. Seward Park on the LES and Maria Hernandez Park in Bushwick seemed to have had a particularly rough go this season for reasons that remain a mystery, much like the underlying rationale that explains why some trucks have recently turned to a particularly rancid version of “It’s a Small World (After All)” all of a sudden as the jingle of choice.
