EN Japanese Brasserie’s Benefit Brunch; St. Lucian Chef Comes to City Grit

EN Japanese Brasserie is hosting a benefit brunch on October 6 from 11:30 a.m to 3:30 p.m to save John Coltrane’s Long Island home. Ravi Coltrane will be performing, Cornel West and Ashley Kahn are speaking, and there will be Japanese food on hand, of course. Tickets are $215 and can be purchased online. [Grub Street]

• St. Lucia’s Craig Jones, the chef at Cliff at Cap, will be cooking up a dinner of French West Indian–inspired dishes at City Grit on Friday, October 11, and Saturday, October 12, at 7 p.m. Tickets are $85 for individual tickets or $150 for two tickets, and they can be purchased here.
