Danny Meyer’s world-dominating hamburger-and-fries chain Shake Shack is headed to one of the most prominent corners of New York City real estate: the old Pete’s Downtown space at the corner of Old Fulton Street and Water Street in Dumbo. The restaurant, located in a century-old building in the shadow of the Brooklyn Bridge, closed in December of 2011 and has been on the market ever since. The newest Shake Shack will be Brooklyn’s third and will open “mid 2014,” according to an announcement made by the chain on Facebook. [Shake Shack/Facebook, Earlier, Related]
