Mile End Reopens With Big Changes; More Bedford + Bowery Bazaar Details

• Both locations of Mile End are reopening today with major renovations. Formerly a takeout spot, the Bond Street location has been converted to a full delicatessen that’s open for dinner until midnight with table service and beer and wine. The original Hoyt Street spot has an updated menu of “beer-friendly food” and no longer serves weekday breakfast and lunch. [Eater NY]

• All locations of Mermaid Oyster Bar and Inn are extending happy hour from 4 to 7 p.m. from Saturday through Monday night. [Grub Street]

• Bedford + Bowery has revealed the food and beverage lineup planned for Saturday’s Bazaar at the Hester Street Fair. Tørst will have a pale ale infused with jalapeño on tap (and Grub hears they’ll soon introduce Welsh rarebit on their bar menu), and P&H; Soda Co. and Oddfellows Ice Cream have crafted a PB&J; ice-cream float in Concord-grape soda. • There was a small fire last night at Izakaya Dodom Pa, the space formerly home to 71 Clinton Fresh Food. No one has been reported hurt, and the restaurant itself remains largely intact, though the façade was heavily damaged. [Bowery Boogie]

Farmigo, an online farmers’ market and agriculture community, is launching a “Champion Initiative” in New York City, north California, and New Jersey to create an online network of farmers and food entrepreneurs. [Forbes]
