Back in April, a representative for Mario Batali and Joe Bastianich’s B&B; Hospitality Group confirmed for Grub Street that the chef would open Babbo Pizzeria and Enoteca at 320 Summer Street in Fort Point this year, with a menu of pizzas cooked in a wood-burning oven, along with a selection of pastas and antipasti. B&B; Hospitality now says the Babbo offshoot will not happen as announced. “We will continue to look for the perfect location to serve the exciting and vibrant Boston community,” a rep tells Boston.com, indicating that plans for the Summer Street space did not work out.
